KATHRYN IRENE VIAR

Kathryn Irene Viar

Kathryn Irene Viar, 98, of Chillicothe, Ohio went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 28, 2016. She was born September 16, 1917 in Jackson County, Ohio to the late Edward and Maude Gansheimer Lew.  On September 28, 1940 Kathryn was united in marriage to Rev. James Viar who preceded her in death on May 10, 1980.  Surviving are nieces, Hope Lew Bauer of Piketon, Ohio, Karlita Gary and Kimberly (John) Gary Kennedy of Florida; nephews, Rocky Bauer II of Piketon, Kent Gary of Arizona and a great nephew Noah Bauer of Piketon.  In addition to her parents and husband, Kathryn was preceded in death by a brother and sister-in-law Emmet and Beatrice Lew and an adopted sister Jean Gary.    
Kathryn was a homemaker and a member of Pleasant Hill German Church. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at the Botkin Hornback Funeral Home in Waverly, Ohio with Pastor Bruce Viar officiating. Burial will follow in Hay Hollow Cemetery, Chillicothe.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 6 – 8 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
